NETCONOMY wins SAP AppHaus Network Innovation Award 2021

For the very first time, SAP invited global members of the SAP AppHaus Network to participate at the SAP AppHaus Network Innovation Award 2021.

The award recognizes outstanding innovation projects in two categories – Best Experience and Best Scaling. With our project ”Delivery Time Prediction with Machine Learning” which we realized together with Europe’s largest beauty retailer Douglas, we managed to win the Best Experience Award.

About the project

NETCONOMY worked with Douglas to create a solution that uses product images as a basis for categorization. The product images are first fetched through SAP Commerce. A trained machine learning model detects categories out of Images in a Top 10 suggestion accuracy calculation. The category result is then reported back to SAP Commerce Cloud. The focus of the project is clearly on solving actual business challenges by combining state-of-the-art machine learning technologies and SAP Commerce in a microservice-driven architecture. With only little investment the customer hast the chance to shorten manual maintenance processes and increase flexibility based on automated product categorization.
