IT Support Engineer (f/m/x)

YOUR JOB

As IT Support Engineer, you will provide frontline technical support by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, while managing user accounts, system updates, and basic security tasks. You will document and resolve incidents through ticketing systems, escalate complex problems when necessary, and ensure compliance with IT policies. This role requires foundational technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain smooth IT operations for our colleagues.

 

Your job´s key responsibilities are:

  • Being the first point of contact for our internal IT Infrastructure and related topics

  • Handling incidents within the CORE IT Ticket System, and dispatching them to our System Engineers, in case they cannot be solved by Support Engineers

  • Managing client and hardware devices

  • Processing requests (e.g., access, hardware, software, etc.) according to approval workflows

  • Acting as the Service Owner for specific services (e.g., overseeing day-to-day operations and driving ongoing service improvements)

  • Maintaining our knowledge base

  • Working closely with our System Engineers on roadmap projects and other complex topics

  • Preparing and continuously updating our IT documentation

YOUR SKILLS

Essential Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Client Systems (Windows & Apple)

  • Practical insights into IT infrastructures and/or IT-support

  • Basic know-how of network management, Active Directory and Azure/Microsoft 365 Cloud

  • Proactivity and drive to learn

  • High degree of security awareness

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English (at least B2 level)

  • Willingness to further develop professionally and acquire new skills

 

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience with the ticketing system ServiceNow

  • Advanced knowledge in Azure/Intune/Microsoft365

  • German skills

The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. What is also important to us is to pay our employees an internally comparable salary. For legal reasons, we need to disclose the minimum annual salary for full time employment as stated in the current collective IT agreement, which is € 34.622.00 gross/year for this position.
