Customer Service Web Application Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR JOB

As a Customer Service Web Application Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and assisting our customers’ productive environments. In this job, you act as an interface between the customer and our project teams.

Your job’s key responsibilities are:

  • Analyzing various application requests and independently creating solution approaches as part of the Customer Service team (with support)
  • Being responsible for the seamless live operation of client systems together with our Operations Team (together with the team and your mentor)
  • Supporting our client’s specialist personnel from different industries in 2nd and 3rd-level support to take care of their demanding web applications (incident management, application support, etc.)
  • Coordinating the Incident Management as first responder for our client as part of your on-call duty, and supporting the analysis to find a quick solution. (on-call appx. 5 times a month, possible days Monday to Sunday from 06:00-22:00) (after extensive training)
  • Close cooperation with our internal Customer Experience project teams to guarantee the best possible customer care
  • Proactively expanding project-specific documentation

YOUR SKILLS

Essential Skills 

  • Ongoing or completed technical education 
  • Basic technical know-how, and experience to perform application analysis and identifying root causes e.g. based on logs, graphs, with SQL or the Unix Console
  • Deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, …)
  • Open, communicative, and team player personality
  • Acting calm and professional in difficult customer situations
  • Curiosity, desire to learn, and the willingness to leave your comfort zone occasionally is essential
  • Excellent communication skills in English

Beneficial Skills

  • Several years of experience in business customer management
  • German skills
  • Basic skills in programming
